`Ohi`a Lehua is the first tree and beautiful flower to appear and bloom in the field of new lava flows from volcanic eruption on the Big Island. Because it is believed that Lehua is very scared to Pele, `Ohi`a Lehua can take roots and grow on difficult condition which other plants cannot. It looks very powerful and noble, but also very fragile.
 

Lehua flowers are loved by Hawaiian people as sacred flower from ancient time and often mentioned in legends, hula, songs, and chants.
Like lehua flower, "Hula Lehua" would like to be loved and passed down for many years to come, as Hawaiian band.
